Norma Pimenta
Norma Pimenta is a cheerleading coach with over thirty years and two generations of cheerleading stories to share. When asked to write about a bizarre accident, she becomes inspired to write a novel “Smiling Eyes, A Cheerleading Coach’s Personal Victory,” about her years as a coach, including the year of the accident, and how it affected her coaching ability.
In her story, Norma’s two daughters Erica Emond and Erin Gallant are the second generation of cheerleading coaches. Now the grandmother of four boys and one girl, she looks forward to the years when her granddaughter becomes a cheerleader.

However my journey as a coach is interrupted by a very bizarre accident and my story becomes inspirational as you read about my struggles and challenges in the year of recovery and how I return to coaching while still healing a very injured body. This memoir goes through two generations of cheerleading coach's in one family and three generations of very strong and determined women.

Smiling Eyes, A Cheerleading Coaches Personal Victory
Yesterday I was a Guest Speaker at the Pot Of Gold Challenge at Twin Rivers in Lincoln R.I. I sold eighteen books and spoke with so many great people who were interested in hearing about my story and sharing theirs with me. I am enjoying being an author and looking forward to more events. In April I will be at the Minuteman Mass Challenge at the DCU in Worcester.
